Student Guide
Everything you need to take a number and track your turn.
Taking a number
- 1
Open “Get a Number”
On the home page, tap Get a Number. - 2
Enter your Student ID
Your number is tied to your Student ID, so type it carefully. - 3
Choose your programme
Pick Foundation/Diploma, Bachelor Degree, or Postgraduate. This decides which counter serves you — there is no separate counter to choose. - 4
Select your issue(s)
Tick every reason for your visit. If none fit, tick Other (please specify) and describe it in the box that appears. - 5
Answer the math question
Solve the short sum (for example, 7 + 4 = ?) to confirm you're human, then tap Get a number.
Tracking your turn
After you submit, your ticket page opens. It shows your number, the number the counter is now serving, and how many people are ahead of you — all updating live.
- Keep this page open. It refreshes on its own — no need to reload.
- When your number is called, the page turns green with a “please proceed to the counter” message. Head over.
- Tap “Enable sound alert” to get a chime (and a buzz on most phones) the moment your number is called — handy if you look away. You'll hear a short test chime when you turn it on; if you don't hear that test, you won't hear the alert either. A few things to know on a phone:
- • Turn it on separately on each device — enabling it on a laptop doesn't enable it on your phone.
- • On iPhone, check the silent/ring switch — silent mode can mute the chime.
- • Keep this page open on screen. If you lock the phone or switch apps, the chime may not sound — but as soon as you come back to the page it will alert you if your number was called.
- If it says the ticket has expired, the counter was reset — just take a new number.
Lost the page?
If you close the tab or lose the link, go back to the home page and use “Already got a number? Look up by Student ID”. Enter the same Student ID to return to your active ticket.
Good to know
- One number at a time per counter. While your number is still waiting, submitting the form again with the same Student ID returns the same number — refreshing or double-tapping won't give you two.
- After you've been called, if you still need help you can take a fresh number.
- Closed counters can't issue numbers. If your programme's counter is closed, please try again later.
